Sweater weather is upon us! Embrace it and explore!

Your friendly neighborhood Tour Coordinator, Chris, here! As that summer weather started to fade, our team got together and did some brainstorming, which brought us to some of those places and aspects of the city that really get us through the colder months here in Detroit.

For me, this season absolutely has to include some delicious beverages, local art, and music to drag me away from the fireplace, so we threw a little of everything into our lineup, which I’m really excited about! If this has you even the slightest bit curious about our schedule, you’re definitely gonna want to read a little further because you’ll most likely find a super fun and intriguing experience to get you out of those warm cozy slippers and immersed in some surprising Detroit history.

Fan Favorites

If you were worried that we might have swapped out some of our fan favorite tours that you like to bring friends and family on when they come to visit, have no fear! One of our talented tour guides or yours truly will still be braving the colder weather to provide the classics such as the Art & Architecture Downtown Walking Tour and the Best of Downtown Walking Tour, to name a couple.

Shop Small

And who doesn’t love supporting local businesses during the holiday season? We’ve got several Shop Small tours throughout the neighborhoods so you can give someone you love a unique gift created by a Detroit small business owner. Grab a book from Pages Bookshop in Grandmont Rosedale, get a piece of jewelry from Ferne Boutique in New Center, pick up organic hair supplies from Eldorado in Corktown, or bring over a holiday dessert from Good Cake and Bakes in the Livernois Corridor.

The Icing….

Of course that title is a reference to the icing on top of all of these exciting new experiences and opportunities to learn a little more about the city we love, not the icing on all of the cookies I’ll be devouring. That icing is…......drum roll please…the Drink Detroit: Holiday Lights Cocktail Crawl! Is there a more perfect way to round out all of that holiday season prep than heading out for a night on the town, taking in the festive lights and atmosphere that appear even more elaborate each year downtown? I think not! This is one of our most popular experiences every year, so I’d highly suggest getting ahead of the game and buying your tickets today.

Now break out those ugly sweaters and let’s make some lasting winter memories in the city this season!
